Mont Jacket
Down jacket with dual construction for optimal thermal comfort, even in extreme cold
The Mont jacket’s dual construction combines a baffled chamber construction to eliminate cold seams with chambers stitched through for optimum insulation for each part of the body.
The front and back of the torso and the top of the sleeves are sewn with baffles, while the side panels, lower sleeves and hood are sewn through
Technology supporting performance
The outer layer is made of Nylon Featherlite RipStop DWR, which is a densely woven, very lightweight and breathable fabric made of Nylon with a durable and water repellent coating (DWR). Thanks to the tightly woven fibres, it blocks even very strong winds, while allowing your body to breathe freely.
TheRipStop coating ensures that if you rip the jacket, it will not tear further, but will stop on one of the regularly placed thicker threads.
DWR is a surface treatment for fabric that increases its resistance to external factors such as moisture or dust.
Down is one of the best natural insulators in the world. We fill our Mont jackets with duck down at a density of 650 CUIN The down is mixed with small feathers in a ratio of 90/10 - this is because the small feathers are flexible and help retain the fluffiness of the material (Loft).
