    As one of the oldest Czech manufacturers of outdoor and camping equipment, its history dates back to 1989, when the first products under this brand appeared on the Czech market. At the very beginning, the company focused on a highly successful down-filled product line, including sleeping bags and down jackets. A year later, it became one of the first Czech manufacturers to develop lightweight, double-walled tents for hiking and mountaineering. Over nearly two decades, the Pinguin product range has expanded significantly to cover a wide variety of outdoor gear and apparel.
     
    Thanks to its consistently high quality, the comprehensive range of tents has gained exceptional popularity. It includes several categories and levels of use, ranging from tents engineered for the extreme conditions of high-altitude expeditions to spacious options for family camping.
     
    Pinguin sleeping bags have also secured a strong market position, designed for both casual outdoor activities and extreme conditions. This outdoor gear selection is further complemented by a series of hiking backpacks. Additionally, the Pinguin brand is increasingly making a name for itself through its continuously evolving and expanding line of membrane and softshell clothing. Years ago, the company made a highly successful move by choosing the Japanese Gelanots membrane for its functional apparel. In newer models, they utilize the ACD membrane, which has formed the core of the brand’s waterproof and breathable clothing line for several years due to its premium quality and high technical specifications.
