    Less seams = greater thermal comfort

    The jacket’s outer layer is made of a lightweight, double-layer stretch fabric from the Airtastic range, developed by Toray Japan.

    This is a very lightweight and breathable fabric made of tightly woven fine Nylon fibers to which elastic Spandex fibre is added.

    The unique two-layer fabric construction with woven joints replacing the seams of each chamber stops warm air leaking out through the seams and, combined with a high-performance C6 DWR water repellent coating, increases the jacket's resistance to moisture penetration.

    Thanks to the tightly woven fibres, it blocks even very strong winds, while allowing your body to breathe freely. The added elastic Spandex fibre increases the jacket’s comfort when moving.

    Down is one of the best natural insulators in the world. We fill our Summit jackets with duck down to a fill power of 650 CUIN

    The down is mixed with small feathers in a ratio of 90/10 - this is because the small feathers are flexible and help retain the fluffiness of the material (Loft).

    The feathers used in our products are certified and come from ducks raised for meat. Birds are not abused by live plucking at these farms.

    The feathers are then cleaned and treated to achieve the required properties.
